      The 2015 International Congress on Accessible Information will be held by Turkish Platform on Accessible Information and hosted by Celal Bayar University between 2 and 4 September 2015 in Manisa/Turkey.

      The Congress will provide a platform and for ICT companies to reach their technology products or services to their target groups and for academicians, researchers or representatives of various organizations to exchange their experiences; to discuss the current situation and the existing challenges or to draft a plan of action for the tasks to be carried out in the field of information services designed for persons with disabilities.

        We’re running a DigiPlace4all community event on Thursday morning May 28th at the Radisson Blu Golden Lane Hotel, Dublin 8. We’ll be bringing our community members together to share their perspectives using the site, introduce our digital champions, run demonstrations of the site and engage with new community members.         The Interdisciplinary Symposium “Social Competence, Creativity and Wellbeing” will be held from 03.06. to 05.06.2015 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It is an event organized to facilitate the international dialogue between researchers, academics, experts and practitioners coming from different fields. It will give opportunities for presenting scientific discoveries, innovative decisions, new approaches and successful practices in developing social competences, creativity and in improving the wellbeing of adolescents, youth and people with disabilities.

        The main goal of the ISSCCW is to promote the understanding of the social competence, the creativity and the wellbeing while taking into account its relation with the modern learning and training technologies.

        The ISSCCW is organised by the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”. 

        The venue: the ISSCCW will take place in the Park-hotel “Saint Petersburg” in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

        The program topics: 

        • Creativity, innovative technologies and the social challenges of youth and people with disabilities.
        • Developing the social competences of youth and people with disabilities, with the usage of modern learning and training technologies.

          T-EST (Transfer of Employment Support Tools for People with Disabilities) project conference will take place in Izmir (Turkey) on 19 September 2014.

          Following the European Disability Strategy 2010-2020, organisations from 6 different countries engaged in the Transfer of Employment Support Tools for People with Disabilities (T-EST) project, under the auspices of the Leonardo Da Vinci transfer of Innovation program. This project started in November 2012 and will run until October 2014 with a mission to contribute to the full accessibility to education as well as to the labour market for people with disabilities.

          The AAATE Workshop 2014: Education in “Care and Assistive Technology” will take place in Heerlen, The Netherlands, on 22-23 May 2014. The 2014 AAATE workshop focusses on various aspects of AT education in Europe. The inspiring program highlights best practices and seeks discussion among members of the AAATE, ISG and their colleagues.

          The program of the workshop addresses education covering technology aspects regarding both Assistive Technology supporting individual end-users but also the related field of Care Technology, supporting care providers. It will cover both the application of existing technology and the development of technological innovations. It will address both primary education as well as lifelong learning. A special interest will be given to Multi-disciplinary collaboration in support of development and application of AT and CT.
